Things I Love - Sundays

Things I love Button

Welcome to this week's edition of: Things I love.

I love drinking ice coffee when it's hot.

I love driving around town when there's little traffic (it's so rare on this island).

I love watching Baby J sit next to her father and share his food.

I love putting away clean laundry (usually means that I won't have to do laundry again for at least a few days !!!)

I love Saturdays... that's the only day hubby is off, and we can sleep in, and be lazy, and do anything or nothing at all.

What are you loving today? Link up and let us know ! Happy Sunday !

How do you know...

The difference between an opportunity and a potentially bad decision?

Sometimes they look so darn similar !!!

Random Tuesday Thoughts...

Seeing Baby J and her dad interact makes it clear to me that a child needs both parents. Sometimes that is not an option, but when it is, I think that's the ideal. Hats of to all those that do it alone, it's a tough job.

It's damn hot down here !!! It's been in the 90's every day since we've been here. Baby J has a mild heat rash. Thank god for sisters in law that have kids and know exactly what I need to do !!!

How do you make a toddler fall in love with you? Give them your cell phone. Extra points if the cell phone plays music.

I thought I had forgotten how to cook all the creole style foods that my husband loves. Nope, I remember, and so far they've turned out better than I expected. My husband loves soup, and I made a pretty good Fish soup yesterday. It was my first attempt and he was pretty impressed.

I always get bloated when I'm down here. Salty food, salty air... causes water retention.

You have to give to receive... sometimes even when you think you can't afford it. I did, and the next day I won a contest for tons of groceries. It's amazing how the world works.

Now head on over to the UnMom's blog for more Random Tuesday Thoughts.

Here's my list (coming to you from the sunny Carribean, where Baby J and I are finally re-unite with my husband after 8 months apart):

I love that despite 12 hours of travelling with a 3:30AM start, Baby J was awesome on the flights.

I love being reunited with my husband.

I love that Baby J immediately fell in love with her father, and isn't scared of him (like she was when we first saw him 9 months ago).

I love watching them play and hang out together.

I love not sleeping alone.

I love being a family again.

I love my husband and daughter.

What are you loving today? Write your own post and link up with us on the MckLinky below, or simply tell us in the comments section.

Happy Sunday Everyone !

I'm leaving....

On a jet plane...
I know that I'll be back again.

I'm just not sure what internet access will be like where I'm going, and I might not be able to post while I'm away.

So for now, I'll leave you with some tunes. Hugs and God Bless...

The Lost Generation

A friend of mine showed this to me on YouTube. At first I was a little confused as to what the point was, but then it all came together about halfway through.

I think it's pretty amazing that the same words read backwards can be completely opposite !
